Triomega

Triomega® brand omega 3 supplements, which offer a high concentration of omega 3 fatty acids in one daily soft gel, have been introduced to U.S. consumers by Pronova Biocare. Each Triomega soft gel contains 800 mg of fish oil. The total EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) content per soft gel is 500 mg, offering approximately twice the concentration of most omega 3 supplements currently available in the U.S. market, according to the company. The ratio of EPA to DHA is ap­proximately 2:1 and the oil in Triomega is produced through a proprietary purification process, which re­moves non-essential oils and results in a higher concentration of omega 3 fatty acids. The process also removes many of the impurities and contaminants found in fatty fish and some other omega 3 supplements.
